Govt Must Buy at MSP All Crops From Farmers: KTR

Hyderabad:BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday demanded that the government purchase paddy, maize and other crops from farmers without imposing any conditions.

In a statement, Rama Rao said the unseasonal rains were causing losses to farmers and the government should procure all the produce from farmers at minimum support prices without any restrictions or conditions.

The unseasonal rains, coupled with the government’s lack of foresight and planning, have placed farmers in a tough situation. The procurement delays have added to the farmers’ woes, he said, and called on all BRS leaders and workers to extend all possible support to farmers and ensure farmers are not cheated or put to trouble at purchase centres.
