Telangana Govt Forms Committee To Address TGSRTC Employees' Issues

The Committee, led by senior officials, will submit recommendations within four weeks to address TGSRTC staff concerns.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has constituted a four-member committee to address the long-pending grievances of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) employees. A Government Order to this effect was issued on Tuesday by the Chief Secretary.

The move comes after the State Government received several representations from TGSRTC employees on service conditions and related matters. After careful consideration, the government formed the panel headed by the Special Chief Secretary, Transport, Roads & Buildings Department. Other members include the Special Chief Secretary, Labour, Employment, Training & Factories Department; the Principal Secretary, Finance Department; and the TGSRTC Vice Chairman & Managing Director, who will serve as Member & Convenor.

The high-level committee will examine all issues comprehensively and submit its report to the government within four weeks from the date of the order.

The decision comes at a time when the TGSRTC employees, under the Joint Action Committee (JAC), have declared a statewide strike from April 22 after weeks of failed negotiations with the administration over long-pending demands.
