Government Employees Stage Maha Dharna in Karimnagar

Karimanagar:Government employees, teachers, labourers, pensioners, gazetted officers, Anganwadi teachers and contract and outsourcing staff staged a maha dharna at the Collectorate in Karimnagar on Thursday as part of the statewide agitation by the Telangana Government Employees Joint Action Committee (TGEJAC).
Addressing the protest, TGEJAC Karimnagar president Daram Srinivas Reddy demanded that the government immediately address the employees’ pending issues. He sought implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), release of six pending dearness allowances (DAs), revival of the old pension scheme by abolishing the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), clearance of pending bills and issuance of health cards.
He also demanded promotions for employees, transfers, amendment of GO 25 and implementation of GO 190.
Srinivas Reddy warned that the TGEJAC would intensify its agitation if the government failed to respond to their demands.
