Godavari River Recedes at Medigadda as Inflows Drop to 1.82 Lakh Cusecs

Hyderabad: The Godavari River is gradually receding at Medigadda as the inflows started dipping since Monday night.
At 9 am on Monday, the barrage received 4.17 lakh cusecs of inflows and by 6 pm, it received 2.55 lakh cusecs of inflows but at 6 am on Tuesday, it was getting 1.82 lakh cusecs of inflows.
However, officials of the Irrigation department continue to release water by opening 85 gates. They said Godavari River is in free flow condition at the barrage.
On July 31, the barrage received inflows of 10.62 lakh cusecs of inflows but later started reducing gradually and at present it is getting 1.82 lakh cusecs of inflows.
