HYDERABAD: HMWS&SB managing director Ashok Reddy on Wednesday inspected the ongoing works of the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Project Phases II and III, which are being undertaken to meet the future drinking water requirements of Hyderabad.
Reddy reviewed the progress of the pump house under construction at Mallannasagar and the laying of the 3,000-mm diameter main pipeline. He examined various components of the project and instructed officials to ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
Reddy directed the implementing agencies and construction firms to deploy additional manpower and machinery to accelerate the pace of work. He emphasised that the project must be completed and made operational by September 2027 as per schedule.
