Hyderabad: GMR Aero Technic, a leading aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Corporation Logic Air Inc., a Canada-based aircraft modification, certification and maintenance organization, to collaborate on aircraft modification, engineering, certification and obsolescence solutions for customers in India and international markets.
The collaboration will focus on delivering turnkey aircraft modification solutions that can be seamlessly incorporated during planned maintenance events, aircraft redelivery programs, and transition checks.
The partnership will also explore the validation, adaptation, and embodiment of eligible Logic Air STCs and modification data for Indian and international operators, with a particular emphasis on opportunities across the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
In addition, both companies will jointly pursue opportunities with airlines, lessors, and cargo operators while strengthening local capabilities in installation, training, sustainment, and through-life support in India, with project-specific commercial arrangements to be developed for individual engagements.
Speaking on the partnership Ashok Gopinath, president and Accountable Manager, GMR Aero Technic, said, “This MoU brings together complementary strengths that can create meaningful value for our customers and the wider aviation ecosystem.”
“By combining Logic Air’s aircraft modification, engineering and certification expertise with GMR Aero Technic’s MRO infrastructure and execution capabilities, we aim to offer integrated solutions that can be delivered efficiently alongside maintenance and transition programs,” he explained.
