GHMC to Introduce Speaking AI-assistant
The chatbot will have voice support for Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, and English.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will incorporate an AI-powered multilingual chatbot in its website to address the grievances of citizens. The chatbot will have voice support for Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, and English.
Using speech-to-text and text-to-speech, the chatbot will allow users to speak out their concerns, and after processing their information, the chatbot will speak out its suggestions. It will also fill the form on behalf of the user.
The chatbot could be accessed from all types of electronic communication devices like mobile, tablet, computer.
This feature can be used for reporting grievances, seeking building permits, birth and death certificates and other services offered by the GHMC. “It will provide a user-friendly experience that supports both text and voice-based queries, making it inclusive for all literacy levels,” said a GHMC official.
The AI-based automated form filling reduces manual effort and improves accessibility especially for citizens unfamiliar with digital processes.
These features will also include guided assistance, document upload, multilingual support, and real-time validation with seamless integration with GHMC website forms and systems.
For citizens, this AI-powered chatbot will provide instant access to government policies and procedures increasing transparency and for staff it will reduce staff workload through intelligent automation.
