GHMC Identifies 473 Illegal Constructions; Carries Out Demolition Drives in Hyderabad
The corporation said enforcement operations would continue across all zones to prevent unauthorised constructions.
Hyderabad:The GHMC has identified 473 ongoing constructions as being allegedly unauthorised or deviating from sanctioned building plans across its limits. As part of its enforcement drive, demolition operations were carried out at three locations in Feelkhana, Red Hills and Chikkadpally on Friday.
In Feelkhana, Begum Bazaar, officials took action against an unauthorised cellar, ground floor and six upper floors on a 70-square-yard plot near Aziz Plaza. At Red Hills, the GHMC brought down unauthorised third, fourth and fifth floors on a 90-square-yard plot. In Chikkadpally, an unauthorised fourth floor on a 357-square-yard plot was demolished.
The GHMC said it was issuing notices and passing speaking orders under the CURE Act. It was also preparing an action plan to demolish or seal the structures found to be in violation of building regulations. The corporation said enforcement operations would continue across all zones to prevent unauthorised constructions.
