GHMC Head Office at Tank Bund Faces Severe Water Shortage
The HMWS&SB, which supplies water to the GHMC headquarters, cited maintenance issues for causing the problem. An official said that board would supply water by tankers till the pipeline issue was fixed.
Hyderabad: The seven-floor GHMC head office near Tank Bund is facing an acute water shortage. Fifteen tankers are being procured every day but that is not enough, sources said.
The GHMC headquarters has 75 washrooms, and supply by tankers fell short of requirement, sources said. This was leaving the staff facing problems in using the washrooms or even washing their hands.
"Many staffers have started bringing additional water bottles," a GHMC official told Deccan Chronicle.
Asked about the issue, a GHMC official said that addition tankers were being brought in, and there was a disruption in water supply for an hour in some floors.
