GHMC Collects 88 Metric Tonnes of E-Waste in Two Days of Mega Drive

On the 13th day of its drive, sanitation activities were undertaken in 3,034 areas and points across 300 wards, including foot overbridges, flyovers, garbage vulnerable points and parks.

Hyderabad:As part of its mega e-sanitation drive, the GHMC said it had collected 88 metric tonnes of electronic waste over two days across the city. It was transported to authorised processing units for scientific disposal.

On the 13th day of its drive, sanitation activities were undertaken in 3,034 areas and points across 300 wards, including foot overbridges, flyovers, garbage vulnerable points and parks.

During this period, the GHMC said, it had transported an additional 3,609 metric tonnes of municipal waste and 1,255 metric tonnes of construction debris, amounting to a total of 4,864 metric tonnes of additional waste.
