Gear Up for Local Body Polls, KTR Tells BRS Workers
The party is expected to sound its readiness for the local body polls at a meeting on February 10 it has planned in Kosgi in Kodangal constituency represented by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Hyderabad: With elections to local bodies round the corner, the BRS has stepped up its efforts to rally its troops with party working president K.T. Rama Rao calling on them to take advantage of the severe disenchantment over the Congress government, and ensure victory for the BRS.
The party is expected to sound its readiness for the local body polls at a meeting on February 10 it has planned in Kosgi in Kodangal constituency represented by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The meeting is to be addressed by several party leaders led by Rama Rao.
On Saturday, Rama Rao addressed party workers and leaders from Sirpur-Kagaznagar, and from Vikarabad at Telangana Bhavan, the BRS headquarters where he called on them to be prepared for elections to gram panchayats and local bodies for which notifications are expected to be issued soon.
“It is only the BRS which is the voice of the people and it continues to be so despite not winning in the last state elections. The Congress and BJP have 16 MPs in the Lok Sabha but Telangana did not get anything in the Budget. For the coming local body elections, you should show our strength. You select the candidates and the party will stand with you,” Rama Rao said while speaking with those who came from Kagaznagar.
Later, addressing a large number of party workers from Vikarabad constituency, Rama Rao called on them to work unitedly to ensure BRS’ victory in the six mandals, and one municipaltih in the constituency. We will give tickets to candidates who can win and I call on everyone to support them. There is a strong support for BRS and people want KCR to return as Chief Minister. If we do not work unitedly, then we will lose,” he said.
