Ganja Worth Rs.13.3 Cr Seized from Passenger at RGIA
The passenger has been arrested under the provisions of NDPS Act and remanded to judicial custody

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad zonal unit of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized around 13.3 kg of hydroponic ganja valued at approximately Rs.13.3 crore in the illicit market from a woman passenger arriving from Bangkok at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad.
Acting on a specific intelligence, officers of the DRI intercepted a passenger from India arriving from Bangkok at RGIA.
A thorough search of the passenger’s check-in baggage revealed 20 packets containing a greenish lumpy substance. The field testing confirmed the substance as ganja. The material identified as 13.3 kg of hydroponic ganja valued at approximately Rs.13.3 crore in the illicit market, was seized along with the packaging material, according to a statement issued by DRI.
The passenger has been arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act-1985, and remanded to judicial custody.
