Ganja Smugglers Ram Car into Excise Team in Nizamabad, Woman Cop Critical

Two ganja smugglers from Nirmal district arrested; 2 kg of dry ganja seized after midnight chase.
The car rammed into excise cops.
Nizamabad: A gang involved in ganja smuggling created panic on the outskirts of Nizamabad city after ramming their car into excise officials during a midnight inspection on Friday. In the incident, woman excise constable, identified as Gajula Soumya sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in the city for treatment.
Doctors said her kidneys were damaged and her condition remains critical. Following the attack, police chased the vehicle and arrested two ganja smugglers. About 2 kilograms of dry ganja was seized from them.
The accused were identified as residents of Nirmal district. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
