Future City Police Bust MDMA Drug Supply, Arrest Two In Shabad

13.97 Grams of MDMA Worth ₹2 Lakh Seized – Accused Planned to Sell Drugs to Students and Software Employees

In a major action against illegal drugs, Future City Police Commissionerate's Chevella Zone Special Operations Team (SOT), along with Shabad Police, arrested two persons for allegedly transporting MDMA drugs for illegal sale. Police seized 13.97 grams of MDMA worth approximately ₹2 lakh and three mobile phones.

The operation was conducted in Chevella Zone, headed by DCP Sri Yogesh Gautam, IPS. Acting on reliable information on 9 October 2026, police conducted a special operation near T-Time at Nagarkunta Crossroads, Shabad, and caught the two accused.

The arrested persons were identified as Maram Vamshi Reddy (23) and Beera Praveen Kumar (28), both residents of Indira Reddy Nagar Colony, Mirzaguda, Shankarpally Mandal, Rangareddy District.

During preliminary questioning, the accused allegedly revealed that they had purchased around 14 grams of MDMA from a person named Stephen in Bengaluru for ₹42,000, at ₹3,000 per gram.

Police said the accused were planning to sell the drugs to students and software employees in Mokila, Kokapet and Nanakramguda areas to make illegal profits.

Police seized 13.97 grams of MDMA, two Redmi mobile phones and one Kechadda keypad mobile phone. The seized items were documented in the presence of witnesses with assistance from the Clues Team.

Shabad Police Station SHO Sri D.K. Laxmi Reddy stated that a case was registered under Crime No. 423/2026, Section 8(c) read with Section 22(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985.

The role of Stephen, who allegedly supplied the drugs from Bengaluru, is being investigated, and efforts are underway to trace him.

Future City Police are continuing their investigation into the illegal drug supply network.
