Future City Police Begin Second Batch of 5-Day Training on AI, Modern Policing

Hyderabad: The second batch of the intensive five-day training programme on technology, modern policing tools, investigation techniques and Artificial Intelligence has commenced for personnel of the Future City Police Commissionerate.
The programme is designed to provide robust and practical training on new digital tools, various software applications, Artificial Intelligence, investigation platforms, tracking systems and technology-based policing solutions to strengthen policing, investigation capabilities and public safety.
Circle Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors and other police personnel are being trained in CCTNS, FIR to charge sheet procedures, eSakshya, eSummons, cybercrime platforms, criminal justice systems, intelligence and field tools, social media and OSINT tools, and AI-based policing applications.
Special emphasis is being placed on the practical use of technology and AI in crime detection, investigation, tracking, facial recognition, CCTV analytics, biometrics, translation, cyber forensics and crime analysis.
Police Commissioner Dr. Tarun Joshi stressed that every police station and police personnel should be equipped with the latest digital knowledge and skills required for modern policing.
He emphasised that continuous learning and hands-on exposure to digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence and modern investigation tools will help police personnel strengthen investigations, improve tracking and analysis, enhance professional skills and deliver faster and more effective policing services to citizens.
The training also focuses on the responsible and lawful use of Artificial Intelligence, verification of AI-generated information and protection of sensitive police and investigation-related data.
The programme is being conducted by T-SPARK at the Crime Investigation Department Office as part of the Future City Police Commissionerate’s continuing efforts to build a more skilled, technology-enabled and investigation-focused police force.
