Funds Released For 2,019 Indiramma Indlu: Ponguleti

Srinivas Reddy assured that financial difficulties would not delay the release of funds. He said there would be no disruption in the construction of the Indiramma Houses.

Hyderabad: Housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the state government had released the first installment of Rs 20.19 crore to beneficiaries of Indiramma Houses who have completed basement construction. A total of 2,019 beneficiaries, identified under the pilot phase out of 70,122, received Rs 1 lakh each on Tuesday.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy handed over cheques to 12 beneficiaries during the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting held in the city.

Srinivas Reddy assured that financial difficulties would not delay the release of funds. He said there would be no disruption in the construction of the Indiramma Houses. He added that efforts are underway to fast-track the grounding of houses and accelerate construction where grounding is already completed. So far, 13,500 houses have reached the grounding stage, the minister informed.

He added that the selection process for eligible beneficiaries will be further expedited. A special officer would be appointed for each constituency to ensure better coordination between officials and public representatives, the minister stated.

How it works

Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy says Indiramma Indlu payments would be made in four phases.

Payments directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts, without middlemen.

Rs 1 lakh to be paid after basement completion

Rs 1.25 lakh after wall construction

Rs 1.75 lakh after slab completion

Final Rs 1 lakh after house is built.

Beneficiaries can upload photos of completed stages through a mobile app.

Officials will not need to visit the site for inspection.

The amount will be credited once the photo is verified.

Houses should have built-up area between 400 and 600 sq. ft.
