From Classrooms to Tech Hubs: KGBV Students Explore AI And Robotics At Amazon
A robotic vehicle race took place after the activity, with students participating in teams using the models they had prepared.
HYDERABAD: Students from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) visited Amazon as part of a Samagra Shiksha Telangana initiative that introduced girls from government schools to artificial intelligence and robotics through hands-on activities, team exercises and robotic vehicle races.
The group included 50 students who are attending advanced camps at three designated institutes of excellence. During the visit, Amazon volunteers guided them in assembling and operating robotic motor vehicles and explained the basics of robotics through practical sessions.
A robotic vehicle race took place after the activity, with students participating in teams using the models they had prepared. According to the department, the students actively took part in the competition and celebrated after their vehicles completed the race successfully.
Lasya Shri from Mancherial and Shri Chandana from Hanamkonda said they enjoyed building robots and participating in the race. They said the visit encouraged them to explore technology further and learn more about robotics in the future.
