Fresh Plaint Filed Over Kukatpally Land Dispute

The complaint also refers to the ongoing demarcation exercise.

Hyderabad:A fresh complaint has been lodged with the Madhapur police against Prime Properties, alleging an attempt to fence and encroach upon disputed land in Survey No. 1007 at Kukatpally, even as related proceedings are pending before the Supreme Court.

The dispute over Survey No. 1007 has been the subject of prolonged litigation involving Prime Properties and Bhagyanagar Plot Owners Welfare Association members. The fresh complaint refers to several orders passed by the Supreme Court in connection with the property of 74.30 acres. The complainants, claiming to be family members of late Pilli Balaiah, alleged that they were in possession of the land and that Prime Properties had never been in possession of any portion of it.

According to the complaint, persons associated with Prime Properties allegedly attempted to fence the land opposite Vasantha Villas towards Kondapur. The complainants alleged that the move violated the status quo directions of the Supreme Court and sought police action. In recent proceedings, the Court directed that the process of demarcation of Survey No. 1007 should continue.

The complaint also refers to the ongoing demarcation exercise. According to the complainants, revenue officials conducted a survey pursuant to the court proceedings and a survey report was awaited.

Madhapur police acknowledged receipt of the complaint and subsequently issued a notice to the complainant seeking relevant land documents and details of witnesses or evidence for further enquiry. The complaint is presently at the enquiry stage.

The land dispute also has a separate criminal case registered by the Cyberabad EOW in 2024. The case was registered under sections including cheating, criminal breach of trust, forgery, use of forged documents, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy, based on allegations concerning Survey No. 1007.
