Nalgonda: Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on Sunday pledged to make his constituency the state’s first “vision-care–free” assembly segment.

While inaugurating the fifth free eye camp organised by the Komatireddy Susheelamma Foundation at Marrigudem in Nalgonda district, he recalled that the foundation was established in memory of his mother, Susheelamma, to carry out social service activities. Emphasising the importance of eye health, he announced plans to conduct extensive free eye camps throughout Munugode.

He noted that the foundation has already performed free eye surgeries on 682 patients and aims to operate on 10,000 people suffering from eye diseases in the constituency. “Our goal is that no one in Munugode should suffer from an eye ailment,” he said.

Rajagopal Reddy added that patients referred for surgery at these camps will receive treatment at Shankara Eye Hospital in Hyderabad.
