Four Accused Rape Missing Girl in Secunderabad Hotel

Four, including juveniles, were booked for assault on a minor

Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl, who was missing for the past six days from her home in Sangareddy district, was gangraped by four persons, including two juvinile suspects, in a hotel room in Secunderabad. The case came into light on Wednesday after her family members spoke to the local media at their native place in Sangareddy district on Wednesday.

The girl had been missing from their house since December 4. Her mother filed a missing complaint with local police. Police swung into action and found her in a hotel room in Secunderabad, reliable sources disclosed.

After the victim’s mobile got switched off, the police interacted with kiosk owners around the bus stop, who informed them that the girl was seen talking to four persons on the same night and they might have taken her to a lodge, police said.

Another witness disclosed that the accused, who stalked the victim for two hours trying to interact with the victim, managed to convince her that they would protect her and find her a job in the city. Later, the accused took her to a lodge, turned her mobile off, and gang raped her. However, the cops by the early hours of Tuesday ascertained her location and rushed to the lodge with a woman police and rescued the victim from the accused.

According to Sangareddy police, the victim had come to Hyderabad to work as a domestic help.

During investigation, the police found that two out of the four accused were juveniles. Two of the rapists have been produced before the court for judicial remand, whereas the other two juvenile suspects have been shifted to Juvenile Home in Rangareddy district, police sources confirmed.

In presence of Bharosa team, police counselled the victim and after recording her statement that she has been shifted to a rehab, the police said.
