Forest Staff, Officials To Get Medals For Meritorious Service
There will be four medals in all, a gold, silver, and bronze, which will be in addition to a special gold medal for those who have rendered exceptional service in forest protection.

HYDERABAD: The state government has instituted the Telangana Vana Samraksha Meritorious Service Medals from this year, minister for forests and environment Konda Surekha announced on Thursday. The awards will constitute a medal, a cash award, along with a monthly cash incentive, the minister’s office said in a press release.
There will be four medals in all, a gold, silver, and bronze, which will be in addition to a special gold medal for those who have rendered exceptional service in forest protection. Those selected for the awards should have demonstrated exceptional service in forest protection from illegal occupation, control of forest crimes, wildlife protection, and forest development among other fields.
Surekha, thanking Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for approving the proposal for the awards recognising the services of forest staff and officials in forest protection and meritorious service.
