According to the ACB, Ravi Kumar instructed the complainant to hand over the bribe amount to Patan Sadiq Khan, known to him, at his residence in Ramanujagudem of Allapally mandal.
Nalgonda:The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday caught Kachanapally forest beat officer Banoth Ravi Kumar while he was allegedly accepting a Rs 30,000 bribe through a person engaged by him in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.
The ACB sleauths laid a trap following a complaint alleging that Ravi Kumar had demanded `30,000 from the complainant for extending undue favour by not obstructing podu cultivation and refraining from action such as digging trenches, thereby allowing cultivation to continue without interference.
According to the ACB, Ravi Kumar instructed the complainant to hand over the bribe amount to Patan Sadiq Khan, known to him, at his residence in Ramanujagudem of Allapally mandal.
The ACB arrested the accused and produced him before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Warangal.
