Food Safety Teams Highlight Hygiene Issues in 3 Corporate Schools in Cyberabad

Officials asked the staff to take corrective measures in the interest of students

Hyderabad: The food safety teams of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) carried out inspections at three corporate schools and found key observations regarding hygiene conditions.

As part of routine food safety inspections across Cyberabad, the CMC food safety teams inspected CHIREC International School in Kondapur and noticed key observations including improvement in lighting in one section of the kitchens. Air curtains of the walk-in chiller required cleaning and chopping boards found worn out and needed replacement. The team instructed the staff to improve kitchen lighting, replace chopping boards, and clean air curtains.

In a separate inspection at Glendale International School Cambridge in Gopanpally, the team found patchy flooring with water stagnation in the wash area, FSSAI licence was not displayed at the premises and food and non-food items were stored together without proper segregation.

The transport vehicle FSSAI licence was not produced and the dustbins were found without lids and bananas were stored near washrooms without pallets. The team recommended improvement notice and asked the staff to take corrective measures.

In yet another inspection at The Gaudium School in Kollur, the team found a slippery floor in the washing area. The staff displayed the FSSAI licence belonging to another branch. The team has recommended eating right campus certification and instructed to rectify the identified observations.
