Food Safety, Task Force Teams Carry Out Raids on Soya Chunks Manufacturing Unit in Karimnagar

Officials collected samples and sent them to the state laboratory for analysis.

Karimnagar:Food safety department officials along with task force police carried out raids in a soya chunks manufacturing unit in Deshrajpalli of Ramadugu mandal on Wednesday and detected the use of rough bran (not meant for human consumption).

The surprise checks on Megha Industries yielded 1,580 kg (33 bags) of rough bran and 750 kg (38 bags) of soya chunks, which the officials seized. It was found that the rough bran was purchased from Shivatara Grain Milling Private Limited, Warangal.

Officials carried out checks at this unit and seized 49 kg (211 bags) of rough bran. Officials collected samples and sent them to the state laboratory for analysis.
