First Haj Flight From Hyderabad Reaches Madina

Second batch to depart Wednesday; Minister Rijiju assures smooth pilgrimage for over 1.22 lakh pilgrims

The first batch of Haj pilgrims who had left from the Shamshabad airport early on Tuesday reached Madina safely.. The pilgrims will perform rituals for 12 days in Madina and move to Mecca to perform Haj rituals. The second flight for the pilgrims is scheduled to take off at 3.55 pm on Wednesday. Pilgrims for the second flight reported at Haj House, Nampally, to complete the final formalities.

Buses to transport the pilgrims to the airport will leave Haj House at 10 am. Before that, religious scholars will give instructions to pilgrims about the rituals to be performed.

Speaking in Delhi, minority affairs minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday said the Centre was committed to ensuring a smooth pilgrimage.

“As the Haj 2025 begins, heartfelt wishes to all 1,22,518 pilgrims undertaking this sacred journey. The first flights took off today, 288 pilgrims from Lucknow & 262 pilgrims from Hyderabad,” Rijiju said in a post on X.

“Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji, the Government of India remains committed to ensuring a smooth & seamless Haj pilgrimage for all. Prayers for a safe, blessed & spiritually enriching pilgrimage,” he said.
