Fingerprint Analysis Helps Arrest Three in Langer House

After fingerprint experts matched the prints collected from the Crime Records Bureau, we found the accused were involved in previous offences and started tracking them

Hyderabad: Three suspects left behind their fingerprints at a house in Langer Houz, from where they stole nearly 10 tolas of gold last month. Police picked up the fingerprints, tracked down and on Saturday arrested the trio: Sai Adithya, 18, Namili David Raj, 19, and Maganti Sai Kumar, 22, AP natives and residents of Kukatpally.

"Our special units, after inspection and collection of samples by the CLUES team, analysed footage from over 100 CCTV cameras from Langar Houz to Gachibowli to Kukatpally. After fingerprint experts matched the prints collected from the Crime Records Bureau, we found the accused were involved in previous offences and started tracking them," explained additional DCP M. Iqbal Siddiqui.

The trio had struck at the house of Shekar Goud in Langar Houz, when he was away for Sankranti, on January 14. A domestic help informed Goud about the robbery. He told the police that 9.7 tola of gold kept in his locker was stolen. Cops recovered 4.50 tola gold after the arrest. The accused were produced for judicial remand.

Two arrests in attempted murder case

Police arrested Saif-Bin Afif and Sohil Khan of Basharatnagar here on Saturday in an attempt to murder case. At about 10.30 pm on Friday, they had intercepted 18-year-old Mohammed Altaf while he was going to his grandmother’s house and assaulted him

Altaf’s brother Mohammed Arafat rushed to his rescue and the assailants attacked him as well," said Kalapather station hosue officer Mohammed Asif. The accused, during interrogation, said they wrongfully identified Altaf as the person who had allegedly attacked Sahil’s younger brother.

Task Force Nabs Two Fugitives With 10 Warrants, 2.3 kg Ganja

The southeast zone task force arrested Habeeb Talha Bin Abdul Qadeer of Barkas and Anand Agarwal alias Mohammad Zoaib of Chanchalguda, who are accused of 18 separate offences and have 10 non-bailable warrants against them.

Personnel from Chandrayangutta and Madannapet police stations were working on the case for eight months, police said. They were caught with a total of 2.3 kg of ganja. The accused confessed to their involvement in the 18, task force additional DCP Ande Srinivas said.
