Farmers’ Welfare Is Government’s Priority, Says Shabbir Ali
Shabbir Ali assured that he would take up farmers’ issues in Anthampally, Lakshmidevunipalli and other villages with the government and work towards their resolution.
Kamareddy:Adviser to the state government Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the Congress government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, was giving top priority to farmers’ welfare and strengthening the rural economy.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected governing body of the Anthampally Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in Kamareddy Assembly constituency, Shabbir Ali said PACS institutions should play a key role in ensuring that farmers receive crop loans, seeds, fertilisers and other agricultural services on time.
He said PACS institutions should function not merely as loan-providing bodies but as centres supporting the overall development and welfare of farmers.
Chittedi Sudhakar Reddy took oath as PACS chairman, while the newly elected governing body members also assumed charge. Shabbir Ali congratulated them and urged them to work collectively to strengthen the society financially and provide equal services to farmers without political considerations.
He said the government was implementing Rythu Bharosa, crop loan waivers, free power, Rythu Bima and irrigation development programmes for farmers. It was also working to improve market facilities and infrastructure and accelerate rural development, he said.

He said development programmes in Kamareddy Assembly constituency were being taken up with priority to rural infrastructure, roads, drinking water, education, healthcare and agriculture.
A Smart Ration Card distribution programme was also held later, during which cards were distributed to eligible beneficiaries.
