Farmer Held in Hyderabad for Possessing Ganja Smuggled from Odisha
The department urged the youth and students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on activities of their children

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police caught a person for allegedly possessing ganja in order to sell the same to needy customers in the city and its surrounding areas.
The police seized eight kgs of ganja and a cell phone from the possession of the arrested person Raj Pradhan alias Gaura (22), a farmer and native of Odisha. Another person Ram Brada alias Bolaram of Odisha is absconding.
Gaura came in contact with Brada and started procuring ganja from him at Rs.8000 per two kg sachet. Later, he will sell the same at Rs.30,000 to 40,000 to needy customers illegally. He came to Hyderabad to sell the contraband when the police nabbed him.
The police said several youth and students were addicted to ganja and engaged in crime and other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace.
The department urged the youth and students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to police to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for drug free city.
