FAIMA Relaunches 24x7 Mental Health Helpline for Medicos

The initiative is exclusively for medical professionals and offers free and completely confidential counselling services.

Hyderabad:The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has reintroduced its Mental Health Helpline and De-addiction Drive for Medicos, aimed at supporting doctors across the country dealing with stress, burnout and addiction-related challenges.

FAIMA officials said the helpline has already supported more than 300 medicos nationwide, which led to its relaunch with a more structured, round-the-clock schedule. The initiative is exclusively for medical professionals and offers free and completely confidential counselling services.

A dedicated team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals will be available throughout the week at different time slots. Medicos can reach out to the listed numbers at any time for support with details available on the FAIMA website.

Dr Sajal Bansal, chief coordinator, Mental Health Helpline, FAIMA, urged medicos in need to seek help without hesitation. He also appealed to the medical fraternity to share the helpline details widely so that timely support reaches those who need it most.
