Hyderabad: A factional conflict erupted within the Congress Party in Patancheru when one group staged a protest on the highway against Patancheru MLA Mahipal Reddy. The protesting members alleged that longstanding party leaders had been ignored in favor of newer entrants.
Meanwhile, a group of Congress workers attempted to storm the MLA’s camp office but were blocked by police at the entrance. Despite this, three workers managed to scale the office wall and entered, causing damage to furniture. The workers also raised slogans against MLA Mahipal Reddy.
