Every Inch Of HYDRAA Reclaimed Land Used For Public Purpose, Says Revanth
CM blames land-grabbing BRS leaders for anti-bullet train protests in Bahadurpura.
Hyderabad: “Every inch of land reclaimed by HYDRAA is put to use for public purposes only. Show a single instance of HYDRAA being used to serve interests of any private persons or lands reclaimed by it were given to private parties,” asked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday. He reiterated that the prime objective of HYDRAA is to restore lakes and remove encroachments on government lands.
His observations were in reply to queries of mediapersons on the Telangana High Court threatening to arrest HYDRAA chief A.V. Ranganath using military personnel. In a recent case involving a private builder, Shanta Shriram, the High Court took strong note of the IPS officer defying its orders and interfering in the possession of land, whose ownership was claimed by the construction company.
The Chief Minister said as per revenue records, the government land in Lothukunta village is 650 acres. The private company has been claiming the ownership of land in specific survey numbers but was in possession of different parcels of land which belonged to the state government and military. Government agencies should at least be allowed to find out where the government land is, he pointed out.
With regard to the agitations against reclaiming government land in Bahadurpura for handing over to the Centre to build bullet train hub, the Chief Minister said it was a handiwork of a few BRS leaders, who encroached government lands. The government will soon unmask these leaders, he added.
