Ensure strict implementation of RERA, says CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Tuesday urged the members of Telangana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal to ensure strict implementation of Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) in the State.

He requested the Tribunal members that RERA must be implemented effectively and thereby preventing property buyers from duping themselves from the false promises of realtors.

After the formation of the State, the Telangana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal has been formed for the first time. Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy (retd) has been appointed chairperson of the Tribunal. Pradeep Kumar Reddy Palle, an advocate, is judicial member and Chitra Ramchandran, a former IAS officer, is the technical and administrative member.

The Tribunal members assumed charge on Sunday and held a meeting with the members of TGRERA.

The Central government enacted the Real Estate (Regulation and Development)-Act 2016. Under this Act, Telangana government notified the Telangana Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Rules 2017 vide G.O.Ms.No.202, Dt.31-07-2017 for regulation and promotion of real estate sector in the State.
