Ensure Foolproof 7,437 Police Job Drive, Revanth Tells Officers Amid Sabotage Inputs

Hyderabad:Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed senior officials to ensure that the recruitment process for 7,437 police posts is conducted in a foolproof, transparent and fair manner, amid intelligence inputs warning of attempts by certain political parties and vested interests to disrupt the selection process.
The Chief Minister convened an emergency review meeting with Director General of Police C.V. Anand and senior officials after intelligence agencies submitted a report indicating possible attempts to create hurdles in the recruitment process announced through the recently issued notification.
Reviewing the arrangements, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to strictly adhere to all rules and regulations and ensure that there is no scope for lapses at any stage of the recruitment process. He said that the examinations must be conducted with complete transparency and credibility.
The Chief Minister directed officials to maintain stringent security throughout the process, including the preparation, printing and transportation of question papers. He also stressed the need for enhanced security at examination centres to prevent any untoward incidents or malpractice.
Revanth Reddy ordered intelligence and police officials to keep a close watch on coaching centres and monitor any suspicious activities that could compromise the integrity of the recruitment examinations. He also instructed authorities to take prompt action to prevent the spread of misinformation or malicious propaganda related to the examinations on social media and other platforms.
The Chief Minister further directed the Cyber Crime Wing to intensify surveillance against fraudsters who lure aspirants with false promises of securing government jobs, as well as fake websites and social media accounts attempting to cheat candidates or spread misleading information. He instructed the Cyber Security and Intelligence wings to remain on high alert until the entire recruitment process is completed.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister V. Seshadri, DGP C.V. Anand, Principal Secretary (Home) Shikha Goel, Police Recruitment Board Chairman V.V. Srinivasa Rao, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, and other senior officials.
