Election Results Reject North-South Divide: Bandi
On West Bengal, the minister said the outcome reflected the efforts of party workers against the Trinamul Congress government.

Karimnagar: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday said the Assembly election results in five states had sent a message against attempts to divide the country on North-South lines. Speaking to the media in Karimnagar, he said voters had rejected what he described as divisive politics, referring to remarks by M.K. Stalin and A. Revanth Reddy on alleged disparities between regions.
He expressed confidence that the goal of a “Congress-mukt Bharat” was nearing, stating that the party was losing ground across states. He described Revanth Reddy as an “iron leg,” alleging that the Congress suffered setbacks in states where he campaigned, including Haryana, Bihar, Delhi, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. He added that “double-engine” governments would expand across the country.
On West Bengal, the minister said the outcome reflected the efforts of party workers against the Trinamul Congress government. Responding to allegations over deletion of names from voter lists, he questioned the inclusion of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and said the mandate was against infiltration and forces seeking to destabilise the country.
Earlier, the minister visited a private hospital in Karimnagar to meet those injured in the recent PMJ Jewellery showroom robbery. Accompanied by mayor K. Srinivas and deputy mayor Y. Sunil Rao, he enquired about their condition. Doctors informed him that the injured were out of danger and under treatment.
Following reported election victories in Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry, BJP workers held celebrations at the minister’s office. Party members, led by local leaders, gathered at Telangana Chowk, distributed sweets and raised slogans in support of Narendra Modi and the BJP.
