Eflu Holds Workshop on Literature Review
BITS Pilani professor Dr. Chintalapalli Vijaykumar guides researchers on constructing credible academic arguments.

Hyderabad: The English and Foreign Languages University (Eflu) held a workshop on literature review in English language teaching (ELT) research. Organised by the Department of English as a Second Language (ESL) Studies, the session featured BITS Pilani assistant professor Dr Chintalapalli Vijaykumar, who spoke on constructing credible arguments through literature reviews.
Dr Vijaykumar broke down different ways of reviewing literature in ELT. He explained how a structured review strengthens research credibility and improves acceptance rates in academic journals. He discussed the balance between a researcher’s stance and cited works, the role of citations and the shift from rigid grammatical frameworks to more experimental structures in academic writing.
The workshop attracted researchers and educators, who participated in discussions on evaluating sources and shaping literature reviews effectively.
100 quintals of PDS rice seized
Warangal: In a major crackdown on illegal PDS rice distribution, the Task Force team, in coordination with Chennaraopet Police, seized 100 quintals of PDS rice worth Rs 2.5 lakh in Chennaraopet, Hanamkonda district, on Monday.
Task Force ACP A. Madhusudhan said that based on credible information, police raided the residence of Nanumasa Pavan Kumar (22) in Chennaraopet mandal. During the raid, officials confiscated the illegally stored rice. The seized rice and the accused were handed over to Chennaraopet Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
