ED Raids At Houses Of Bhoodaan Land Case Accused
The raids were conducted with the assistance of the personnel of Central Reserve Police Force

Hyderabad:Several months after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned IAS officer D. Amoy Kumar, former Rangareddy collector, in connection with Bhoodan land irregularities, the agency on Monday conducted raids at different places and found vintage cars and other valuables.
Around 6 am on Monday, ED officials raided several places in Santoshnagar, Yakutpura, Banjara Hills, Moinabad and Gandipet and conducted searches at the residences of Mohammed Abdul Javeed, Arshiya Sultana, Mohammed Abdul Lateef, Mohd Abdul Shukoor, Khader Unnisa, Mohd Munawar Khan, Mohammed Abdul Ibrahim, and Mohammed Abdul Akthar.
During the raids, the officials found huge sums of money and vintage cars in Moinabad. The accused reportedly acted as benami to transfer ownership of Bhoodan lands located at Nagaram of Maheswaram mandal in Rangareddy district.
The agency officials also found vintage vehicles from Shukoor, who played a key role in transferring government land parcels to private persons. The ED officials inquired on how the accused manipulated the records on the Dharani portal of the BRS government by influencing revenue officers in Maheshwaram.
The teams also conducted searches on regular money transactions of the accused persons for the past few years, suspecting hawala angle.
In 2023, the Maheshwaram police registered a case which was referred by a court against the accused for issuing passbooks for over 42 acres land spread across various survey numbers at Nagaram, despite the land being notified as government land and placed in the prohibitory list.
Based on these cases, the ED initiated the probe by questioning Amoy Kumar and recording his statements. However, the IAS officer was not made an accused by the agency. The officials also obtained inputs from some real estate firms.
It was reported that Mohammed Abdul Javeed, Mohammed Abdul Lateef, Mohd Abdul Shukoor, Khader Unnisa, Mohd Munawar Khan, Mohammed Abdul Ibrahim, and Mohammed Abdul Akthar played a key role in the offence. All the accused are relatives and were involved in land irregularities.
