According to the schedule released on Thursday, the first republication of the notice in newspapers will be on October 15 and the second on October 25.

Hyderabad:The Election Commission has directed officials to prepare fresh electoral rolls for the Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituencies, where vacancies in the Legislative Council are due to arise in March next. The process will begin with a public notice on September 28 and conclude with publication of the electoral roll on December 30.
According to the schedule released on Thursday, the first republication of the notice in newspapers will be on October 15 and the second on October 25. The last date for receiving applications in Form-18 is November 6.
The Election Commission will complete printing of the draft electoral rolls by November 20 and publish them on November 25. Claims and objections will be received from November 25 to December 10 and disposed of by December 25. The final electoral rolls will be published on December 30.
The Election Commission clarified that even those whose names figure in the existing electoral rolls must apply afresh in the revised Form-18 and submit verified copies of the required documents and certificates. “It may be noted that mere reference to an entry in the existing electoral roll will not be taken into account for deterring the eligibility of a person for enrolment in the electoral rolls,” Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy said.
Applications can be filed online through the CEO Telangana website or submitted in Form-18, along with the required documents and certificates, to the EROs, AEROs, designated officers or additional designated officers in person. “The application can also be sent by post to the ERO or AERO or designated officer,” the CEO added.
