EAPCET Candidate Enters 570 Options in Counselling

Hyderabad: An engineering aspirant was found to have entered 570 college and course preferences during TG Eapcet counselling on Thursday, with candidates collectively submitting more than 4.38 lakh web options to improve their chances of securing a preferred college and course.
According to the commissioner of technical education, 4,38,099 web options were exercised by 10,422 candidates who generated their passwords to participate in the first phase of admissions. The highest number of options entered by a single candidate was 570. Overall, 88,169 candidates had paid the processing fee and completed slot booking for certificate verification up to Thursday, officials said.
The counselling authority advised candidates and parents to complete processing fee payment, slot booking and certificate verification at the earliest. Officials said candidates who complete certificate verification sooner get more time to exercise web options, allowing them to consider a wider range of colleges and courses.
