EAGLE Team Busts Rave Party, Arrests Six For Drug Use

Hyderabad: In a late-night raid, the EAGLE Telangana team along with Gachibowli police busted a rave party at Rajeshwari Nilayam Service Apartment in Kondapur, and arrested six people, including two peddlers, a transporter, and three consumers.
The accused were found in possession of cocaine, ecstasy pills, and MDMA worth Rs 10 lakh. The prime accused had been procuring both cosmetic injections and narcotic drugs from a supplier in Bengaluru through DTDC courier.
According to Madhapur Zonal DCP Dr G. Vineeth, the arrested included Teja, who runs a cloud kitchen in Pragathinagar and hails from East Godavari, and Vikram, a poultry businessman also from East Godavari.
The transporter, Chandan, is an engineering student from Karnataka. The three consumers were a homemaker from Narsingi, a wine shop owner from Kondapur, and a software engineer from Serilingampally. The main supplier, Rahul from Bengaluru, is absconding. “Vikram is friends with Surya Annamaneni, co-accused in the Malanadu drug case. Both Rahul and Surya procured drugs from the same Nigerian, who is currently on the run,” Dr Vineeth said.
According to DCP Vineeth, Teja was the kingpin of this racket. “Addicted to cocaine after attending a rave party in Goa in December 2023, Teja began procuring the drug through Rahul. Along with Vikram and the Narsingi homemaker, his close friends from Rajahmundry, he regularly consumed cocaine, often renting service apartments in Hyderabad for the sessions.
The group was closely knit, with each member sharing the expenses. Payments were transferred to different bank accounts provided by Rahul for each deal. Another associate, identified as Manideep, a deputy tahsildar from Rajahmundry, was also part of the circle and is currently absconding.
Investigations revealed that Teja had been purchasing glutathione injections, marketed as skin-brightening enhancers. The brand he ordered costs around Rs 40,000 in Hyderabad but was available in Bengaluru for Rs 11,000.
Since Teja was sourcing drugs from Rahul, he sought his help in concealing cocaine inside the injection parcels. Rahul dispatched them through a courier office at AVA Road in Rajahmundry. Teja personally collected these consignments on two to three occasions, Dr Vineeth said.
The DCP added that the homemaker was found positive for three types of drugs, Teja for five, while the two other consumers tested positive for one type each. Chandan, who transported drugs from Bengaluru, tested negative.”
Vikram had earlier been arrested by Dichpally police in January 2024 while returning from Delhi with 12 grams of cocaine procured from a Nigerian peddler, Mike, known to Rahul. Though jailed, he continued drug abuse after release, which also led to the breakdown of his marriage. Police said the group’s consistent consumption dragged them deeper into addiction and entrenched them in the supplier network.
