Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union to deploy 500 vehicles across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri (Rachakonda).
Hyderabad: To ensure road safety during New Year celebrations, the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union (TGPWU) has announced free transportation services for people who have consumed alcohol.
The services will be available on December 31 between 11 pm and 1 am, the union said. As part of the initiative, around 500 vehicles, including cabs, autos and electric bikes, have been arranged.
The free rides will be provided across the Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda (Malkajgiri) police commissionerate limits. People seeking the service have been advised to call 8977009804 to avail the free ride facility.
The initiative aims to prevent drunk driving incidents and ensure the safety of commuters during New Year festivities.
