Hyderabad:The drugs wing of the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) raided a clinic run by an unqualified practitioner in Yerragollapahad of Jangaon district on Thursday and seized 40 varieties of medicines worth ₹2.10 lakh that were allegedly stocked illegally for sale.
Officials collected samples of the medicines for analysis.
Officials raided First Aid Clinic of Panneru Ramesh, who was allegedly practising medicine without the required qualifications. The seized medicines included antibiotics, steroids, habit-forming drugs, analgesics, anti-ulcer medicines and antihypertensive drugs.
Officials found several antibiotics at the clinic and said their indiscriminate sale by unqualified persons could contribute to antimicrobial resistance. Steroids were also found among the seized medicines.
