Drug Racket With Goa Links Busted in Hyderabad, Businessman Held

Hyderabad: The Ranga Reddy unit of Prohibition and Excise department here on Tuesday busted a drug racket having links to Goa with the arrest of a businessman from Begumpet.
The 32-year-old businessman, Karan Parmar, was selling cocaine and OG Kush for the last seven months to persons known to him, said Assistant Prohibition and Excise Superintendent Jeevan Kiran. As many as 19.36 gms of cocaine and 6.7 gms of OG Kush was seized from the possession of Karan.
Jeevan Kiran said Karan was purchasing cocaine from supplier Santhosh Ghandav alias Ramky from Goa and selling the persons known to him for Rs.15,000 to Rs.10,000 per gram depending upon the customers’ requirements.
“We are checking the call data records of Karan to know the customers details,” Jeevan Kiran said, adding that efforts were on to trace Santhosh Ghandav. The excise sleuths handed over the case papers and seized drugs to Balanagar Station House Officer for taking necessary action.
