Police seize 137 grams of ganja; probe continues for suppliers

HYDERABAD: A ride-hailing app driver was arrested in Banjara Hills on Sunday for allegedly selling ganja. Acting on a tip-off, the local crime team apprehended Mohammed Junaid on Road No. 12 while he was selling the contraband to a customer.
Police seized 137 grams of dry ganja from his possession. Junaid, a resident of Ibrahimnagar on Road No. 10, was reportedly operating from an isolated location.
“Junaid is presently in custody. Efforts are on to identify other peddlers and the main suppliers. The case is under investigation,” a police officer said.
