Two Arrested in Hyderabad for Smuggling Ephedrine to New Zealand

Hyderabad: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, arrested two persons for allegedly attempting to smuggle three kg of ephedrine/pseudoephedrine worth `60 lakh to New Zealand on Saturday. The duo was trying to book a package containing the drug to be couriered to New Zealand when it was arrested. DRI officials receovered two vacuum-sealed packets from the package.
A white powder was recovered from the packets was found to be ephedrine/pseudoephedrine.
