Hyderabad: Telangana Prohibition and Excise department has commenced the process of draw of lots for allotting liquor shops in the State to retailers on Monday.
In Hyderabad division, the draw of lots was conducted at Babujagjeevanram Bhavan on Road No. 10 in Banjara Hills. Hyderabad Additional Collector G Mukunda Reddy supervised the process of Babujagjeevanram Bhavan.
In Secunderabad Division, Hyderabad district Collector Dasari Harichandana took part in the draw of lots. The department has received 95,137 applications for 2,620 liquor shops across the State.
