Dr P.R. Sushama Gets Best Biodiversity Conserver Award

The felicitation took place in the presence of IAS officers, Nadeem Ahamad, principal secretary, environment, forest, science and technology, Kalicharan Kartade, member secretary of SBB, and R.V. Kanan, commissioner, greater Hyderabad municipal corporation.

HYDERABAD: Dr P.R. Sushama, senior assistant professor and head of the department of botany and environmental sciences at Veeranari Chakali Ilamma women’s university, received the ‘best biodiversity conserver 2026’ award from the Telangana state biodiversity board (SBB) on the occasion of the international day for biological diversity. The recognition came for her work in biodiversity conservation and environmental awareness programmes in Telangana.
