Dr B. R. Ambedkar 135th Birth Anniversary Observed in Nizamabad

NIZAMABAD: The 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was observed at Congress Bhavan in Nizamabad on Tuesday, with leaders paying floral tributes to his portrait.

Floral tributes were also offered at the Ambedkar statue at Phulong Chowrasta.

Speaking on the occasion, Congress leaders said Ambedkar fought against untouchability and worked for the rights of Dalits and backward classes. They described him as the architect of the Constitution who dedicated his life to ending caste discrimination and ensuring social justice.

They added that despite facing hardships, Ambedkar rose to prominent positions through determination and hard work, serving as an inspiration to society.

DCC president Nagesh Reddy, town president Bobbili Ramakrishna, SC cell district president Lingam, Urdu Academy chairman Taher Bin Hamdan, NUDA chairman Kesha Venu, Mayor Kuragayala Uma Rani Ramesh and other leaders attended the programme.
