Double engine vital for TG growth: Aruna

D.K. Aruna slams Congress over unfulfilled promises, urges voters to back BJP for accelerated development with central support.

Hyderabad: The formation of a BJP government in Telangana was not only inevitable but also critical, as any lenience towards the Congress would push the state into deep trouble and turn it into one of the most backward, asserted BJP vice-president and Mahbubnagar MP D.K. Aruna.

Speaking after inaugurating multiple NREGS works in Hanwada, Mahbubnagar district, alongside local MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Aruna said the election of a BJP MP had enabled Hanwada to receive Central funds. She added that if the people of Telangana elected a BJP government, a double-engine administration would fast-track the state’s growth with central assistance.

Describing Congress as a sub-regional party now confined to just two states, Aruna questioned its leaders on their role in constructing Indiramma houses in Telangana. She alleged that the Revanth Reddy-led government was staging a drama by claiming credit for building Indiramma Indlu using central funds. She urged the public to inform her if any eligible family has been left out of the Indiramma housing scheme.

“The Congress came to power by making tall and impractical promises. They have ignored all their poll commitments, including the farm loan waiver. If people remain lenient towards the Congress, they will face serious consequences. They must reflect carefully on the actions of the current Congress government,” Aruna said.
