DOST 2026 Phase III Registration Extended to June 21 for Intermediate Supplementary Students

Verification of special category certificates (PH, CAP, NCC and Extra-Curricular Activities) at University Help Line Centres will be held on June 22.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Council of Higher Education has extended the DOST 2026-27 Phase III registration deadline to June 21 and web options deadline to June 22, to accommodate students who passed the recent Intermediate supplementary examinations and wished to pursue undergraduate courses.

Verification of special category certificates (PH, CAP, NCC and Extra-Curricular Activities) at University Help Line Centres will be held on June 22. The Phase III seat allotment is scheduled for June 25, followed by online self-reporting from June 26 to July 2.

Students who have confirmed their seats through online self-reporting in Phases I, II and III must report to their allotted colleges between June 27 and July 4. Orientation programmes will be conducted on July 3 and 4, and Semester-I classes will commence on July 6.

Drogo Aerospace delivers first batch of 41 JK 250e drones to Indian Army

Hyderabad: City-based defence technology company Drogo Aerospace Pvt Ltd on Monday said it has delivered the first batch of 41 JK 250e drones to the Indian Army under a `72-crore contract.

The first batch was received by officials of the Army's Southern Command in Nasik, Maharashtra recently, while the company aims to complete the balance deliveries of 176 drones under the total order of 217 drones by August 2026.

The JK 250e drones, developed and built by Drogo Aerospace, can fly for up to three hours on a single charge and are intended for surveillance, reconnaissance, and other critical military missions, the company said in a release.

Drogo Aerospace founder and CEO Yeshwanth Bonthu said the successful delivery to the Indian Army validated the company's technological expertise, manufacturing capabilities and commitment to national security.

He said that Drogo Aerospace was developing indigenous loitering munitions, long-endurance UAVs, AI-powered aerial intelligence platforms, advanced surveillance and reconnaissance systems, and other future-ready aerospace products.

The company said it is expanding its focus on next-generation unmanned aerial systems, defence technologies and advanced surveillance platforms. Drogo Aerospace is establishing a state-of-the-art drone manufacturing facility at Maheshwaram in Rangareddy district.

The Telangana government has allotted approximately 4.5 acres of land to the company in the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster for the project. The upcoming facility, spread across 1 lakh square feet, is expected to create around 500 additional jobs.

The company currently employs about 300 people and plans further expansion as it strengthens its position in India's rapidly growing defence and aerospace sector, the release said.

Drogo Aerospace specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced unmanned aerial systems, defence technologies, AI-enabled aerial intelligence solutions and next-generation aerospace platforms, serving strategic and national security requirements through indigenous innovation and manufacturing, the release added.

TGTET 2026 Kicks Off Tuesday: Over 1.5 Lakh Candidates to Clear Exams Across 61 CBT Centres

Hyderabad: The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TGTET) will run from Tuesday to 22, with over 1.5 lakh candidates scheduled to appear across 61 computer-based centres in 16 districts. The examination will take place in 10 sessions, with hall tickets available online and six helplines will remain open until the final day.

Hall-ticket downloads opened on June 9 at the official website and candidates may call 7093708883, 7093708884, 7093958881, 7093468882, 7032901383 or 9000756178 for assistance until 2 pm on June 22.

SCERT said 1,53,752 candidates had registered for TGTET, out of which Paper I has 50,113 candidates, and Paper II 1,03,639. “All arrangements are made for the examination,” said TGTET convener G. Ramesh on Monday.

Rangareddy has the largest share, with 47,489 candidates allotted to 15 centres. Medchal-Malkajgiri follows with 43,900 candidates across 13 centres. Hyderabad will have two centres for 6,014 candidates.

NIMS asks public representatives, NGOs, media refrain from visiting 12 yr old admitted with alleged sexual assault

Hyderabad: Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) has asked non-governmental organisations (NGOs), public representatives, social groups and media personnel to refrain from visiting a 12-year-old victim of alleged sexual assault who is undergoing treatment under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team of specialists at the institute.

The patient's condition was being continuously monitored, and medical care was being provided, it said. The request was issued in the interest of the patient's recovery, privacy, dignity, and emotional well-being, as well as to ensure the smooth functioning of the intensive care unit (ICU) and uninterrupted treatment of other critically ill patients.
