Hyderabad: Former minister and senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao has strongly criticised the inquiries and arrests in Telangana, calling them a "farce," in response to reports that he received a notice in the phone-tapping case. Harish Rao stated that legal action against opposition leaders is not new. He alleged that some officials are aggressively filing "illegal cases" in exchange for favourable postings.
He issued a stern warning to officers trying to appease Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, cautioning that those who "go too far" will eventually "pay the price," citing political shifts in Andhra Pradesh as a precedent. "If you trouble leaders from one political faction, you too will meet the same fate," he advised.
